MILESTONE ONE

Lemon Essential Oil: BRILLIANCE

“As I breathe in this bright, cleansing scent, I clear away doubt and invite clarity. I am open to discovering what is strong, true, and beautiful within me. Today, I choose to see myself through the lens of light and possibility.”

Hello, [accessally_user_firstname]!

This is where you begin to truly see yourself — not through the lens of what you lack, but through the brilliance of what’s already within you. Your strengths aren’t just personality traits… they’re clues to your purpose, your potential, and your power. So take a deep breath, grab your favorite drink, and let’s begin uncovering the real, radiant you. You’re not here to become someone else — you’re here to just become YOU.

0:00 You're Not Broken--You're Becoming

So, first I’d like to acknowledge that I believe we too often focus on our weaknesses. There is nothing wrong trying to grow and better ourselves, but sometimes there are just areas that not naturally our strengths.

For example, no matter how hard you try, you will always be better at writing and drawing with your dominant hand than with your non-dominant hand.

I am a lefty, and did you know that back in the day some teachers forced kids to learn to write with their right hand instead? A true and sad story!

Think about it. How much wasted time and frustration do you think that child experienced? How much lost potential do you think there was as a result? Maybe they could have spent that time discovering that they could draw or paint masterpieces, instead of feeling like something was wrong with them. You can imagine how that experience may have stunted a natural creativity that they were born with that may have forever been hidden from the world. So sad.

You may have experienced this confusion in school, too. Did you ever have a class that no matter how hard you tried, you could not get a good grade in it? It just did not come easy to you!

Truth is…the subject matter and skills needed to master it were just not aligning with your strengths. And it’s okay. You do not need to be good at EVERYTHING.

I am sure that if you think back you can find classes that you enjoyed and felt were challenging, yet easy at the same time.

THOSE classes can be clues to discovering your strengths and true nature.

THOSE areas are where you can aim your efforts in order to grow your life in a direction that you enjoy, feel empowered, and can best contribute to the betterment of the planet.

Honestly, the planet really needs you right now!

Which leads us into to why you are here.

2:13 Why We Focus On Weakness

This is a place where you can BEGIN your strengths-based journey.

At the bottom of the page, you will be able to download the strengths cheatsheet that describes all 34 themes that a Gallup research team, led by a man named Don Clifton, developed after he asked the simple question “What would happen if we studied what was RIGHT with people versus what’s wrong with people?”

You see, after Don Clifton heroically returned from World War II, he felt that he had seen enough of war and wanted to spend the rest of his life doing good for humankind.

This led to an intense interest in studying human development.

Don spent the rest of his life researching and inventing ways to help people maximize their infinite potential.

He wanted to understand not only who they were, but who they could become.

3:34 Follow The Energy

His work led him to invent the CliftonStrengths assessment used by tens of millions of people around the world to discover their natural talents — that is, what they do best.

In fact, you may already know this as more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies have used CliftonStrengths to bring the power of strengths-based development to their workplace culture.

But, I believe CliftonStrengths is not just good for work–it can help transform relationships of any kind and has been very powerful in my own life with my husband, my grown children, and close friends. You would be surprised at how much things start to make sense when you discover what THEIR top 5 strengths are, which I highly encourage you pursue.

By the way, the chances of someone having the same top 5 strengths in the same order as YOU are 1 in 33 million. Do you feel kind of unique?

There is more than one way to do things, and research shows that people who focus on using their strengths are three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life.

So, I am here to tell you that it’s really okay to just become you. You matter, you have potential, and now you have support here to start discovering your roadmap and tools for success.

Before we move on, I need to share a few more things about CliftonStrengths.

In the world of CliftonStrengths, it’s all GOOD! That is, we’re keeping it all positive here.

4:12 The World Needs You!

It’s not hard to do when you adhere to the following five guiding principles on your strengths journey:

1. Themes are neutral (they are not good or bad, one is not better than the other)

2. Strengths are not labels (Just because you have Strategic #1 doesn’t mean your a “strategist”)

3. Focus on positive intent (these are meant to be used for good)

4. Differences are advantages (It is impossible to be good at everything and best to be REALLY good at only a FEW things. When you are collaborating on something with other people, it actually works best when you all bring different skills that are super strong to the table. That way the results are better, and you are not having power struggles or stepping on each other’s toes.)

5. People need one another (We are social animals and working together as a healthy tribe is essential for our wellbeing.)
